OUR MISSION

Our mission is "to create community through the art of storytelling" — for us, it is as much about 'the gathering' as 'the stories'. In this spirit, we invite our audience and performers to join us for a complimentary reception on the deck after the show to connect and continue the conversation started on stage.

We also believe in supporting our community. Spark Off Rose™ has proudly produced benefits for organizations that promote positive change in the world, including TreePeople, The Painted Turtle, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Peace4Kids.

In addition, Spark Off Rose offers workshops, classes and seminars with the purpose of teaching storytelling techniques. This spring we are conducting a workshop in association with PEN in the Classroom for seniors at Venice High School, which will culminate in a special performance at the theatre.  

Above all, we like to recruit new voices. So, if there is a theme that *sparks* a story in you, we encourage you to contact us.
